"Self- Coaching / Self Talk": A practical program to stop the negative thinking habits that fuel depression and anxiety and prevent a meaningful recovery.

Clinical psychologist, Dr. Joseph Luciani believes that anxiety and depression are fueled by habitual, insecure thinking that wind up depleting our brain chemistry.  And that, like all habits, they can be broken. He says that perceptions such as  "I'm unlovable", "I'll never succeed", "I'm not good enough" are based on distorted and false thinking driven by a child's view of ourselves that have gone unchallenged into our adulthood and that if we want to free ourselves from worrisome thoughts, panic, depressed feelings and compulsions, we must stop feeding them.

After 30 years of working with clients, Dr. Luciani developed a 3-step self-help technique that is now an internationally bestselling series of books called "Self Coaching: The Power Program to Beat Depression and Anxiety". The beauty of it is that it can be practiced outside the therapist's office and incorporated into our daily lives.

This presentation is open to both individuals in recovery and providers.
